One of the concerns I had about adopting dark skinned babies to live in a Yellow land was that these yellow people think that there is something wrong with dark colored skin, so much so that they spend lots of money trying to be whiter. They think my skin is gorgeous and tell me often. It boggles their mind to see me with dark skinned babies...you should see some of the facial expressions as they try to figure out why I'm white and my babies aren't. It's a great opportunity to talk about adoption...another foreign concept to them.
Anyway, I love my little dark skinned kids as well as I love my light skinned ones!
