Well....a deep subject.

Ok. No pictures...you'll be glad when you find out why. While registering the Princess for Kindergarten, she needed to go potty. Yes, you're right. Squatty potty. Well, mom has to go with her because it's still a new procedure to her. There's not enough room for both of us and the door won't lock. So, Princess of modesty (of which I'm thankful) says mom hold the door from the inside with me. I'm holding the door and I realize she's not down far enough and is about to get her pants. I grab the pants with my other hand and pull them out of the way just in the nick of time. (A side note is that a good friend of mine gave me this great purse that is across the shoulder and hangs in front of me so I can't be pickpocketed easily. Another sidenote ...All the pictures you've been viewing are thanks to my last year's Christmas present from the King. I carry it with me everywhere. You never know when you might want a picture of the kids growing up, oh, so fast!)Back to the story...as I'm holding the door and the pants and bent at the waist because there is not room for me to squat, too.....(have you guessed?) yep, my camera slides right out of my bag and right down the...well or hole or whatever you want to call it!!! We both watched as it happened in slow motion but not slow enough for me. I have really good reflexes, but what do I let go of??!! Too late. I hesitated. We both sort of yelled a reaction and I'm thinking, "Well, it was a great camera." Nice eulogy. The principal and the Princess' teacher came running thinking she had fallen in! We told them it was just the camera. They sent for the custodian and they fished it out, washed it off (with soap), dried it off, gave it back to me and we moved on. WHAT?! I couldn't believe their graciousness. I don't know if it can be fixed or if it even will work. The good news is, I had just downloaded everything from it on Saturday. We only "lost" about 20 pics and a few video clips. We'll see. The Prince has a camera. We'll try using it. In the meantime, stay tuned for the first day of school...
