Precious Memories...

The other day I was looking for my husband and found him with my daughter. She was reading out of her own Bible.

Sunday morning she came forward to tell everyone of her decision to follow Jesus and be baptized -on her own. (We didn't know she had decided to do it.) When the pastor asked her if she had accepted Jesus as her Savior, she said, "I did that last summer!" She actually did after VBS. We have been working through a book with her to make sure she fully understands what she's saying she believes. It can't be our faith, but her own. However, I think we overanalyze when a child accepts Christ. The Bible says to have the faith of a child. I'm thrilled to know my children have both accepted Him. Now, comes the hard part of discipling them to walk the walk. Lord, be our teacher and thank you for these you have blessed me with. May I be a good steward.

If that doesn't just melt your heart, I don't know what will. How precious! :)

That is awesome! I am looking forward to the day that my sweet girl allows the Spirit to give her the courage to walk that walk and follow through with baptism. For a timid little mouse those are hard things. But she knows and is learning more and more daily. God will take care of it.
