Growing up with four brothers was SUCH A CHORE! Not really. People used to say "I'm so sorry for you," when they heard that I'm the only girl with four brothers. I'd just laugh. Little did they know... I loved having brothers. They taught me so much. I decked a boy in 6th grade who wouldn't quit harrassing me walking home from the bust stop. He remembered it when we were juniors. How did I know how to make a fist without breaking my thumb off? Brothers. I didn't date specific boys that I wanted to date. Why? Brothers...protecting me against things and people I didn't know about. I chose to play baseball, be in drama, student council, be in the band etc. like my brothers. At my high school a legacy was left for me by my brothers. Our family name was well-known. I'm not deluding myself and they weren't/aren't saints because sometimes the legacy wasn't a positive one, but overall the people they were even at that age was a positive influence on me. I learned from their mistakes as best I could and tried to choose wisely in my life. One of my brothers told me he was praying for my future mate and hoped I would stay pure for him. I did. Thanks for the encouragement. You've blessed my life.I have a younger brother and I worked to leave a positive legacy for him. I often wondered what it would be like to have sisters...but sisters in law (love) are close enough. My brothers are truly blessings. I miss the one who is in heaven and can't wait to see him again.
I am who I am today in large part because of them. Thanks guys...for everything. I love you.
The thing about great brothers is....they make AWESOME UNCLES!
