Princess C was sent home from school on Friday with a fever. She was sick most of the weekend. However, by Sunday, she was feeling better, just not ready for church...mom deemed. Anyway, while I was home with her I was sorting through some old home videos and found my wedding video. I put it in so she could see mommy as a "Princess." She "oohed" and "aahed" making me feel beautiful and then said, "Who is that?" When I responded, "That's Daddy!" She looked at me, looked back at the TV, cocked her head sideways and said, "Well, it sounds like him." I started laughing! For all you who don't know...my husband is a cancer survivor. When we wed he had a head full of hair and was slowly losing it when the Princess came along. After chemo, it never came back as full or as straight. As a matter of fact, it was extremely thin. As far back as she can remember he's been bald and shaving his head. It was absolutely priceless to see her face. She stared at her dad for awhile. I guess she finally resigned herself to it, even though she didn't believe it. His voice won out. He sings all the time and he was singing to me in the video...his one saving grace, I think. Otherwise, she wouldn't have believed me.

I can't remember if he had the "rocker-dude" hair when y'all got married. If he did then I can totally see why C couldn't make that guy her Daddy. So cute. Call JB and let her help you with the pics! I am useless to you, sorry. Love!
