I can't believe how times flies. It seems like I just posted and it's already been almost a month. My time is not really my own these days. My new job affords me more time with my kids and and so, most days, I'm taking it. They are at fun ages. Each stage is fun in itself even with all the challenges we've had.
My son is taking off. Wow. It blows me away and makes me think how short "childhood" actually is. He doesn't consider himself a "child" anymore...he's a youth. A HUGE difference when you're in the 6th grade and low man on the totem pole. For all the longing and wishing that he would just grow up a little...it's happening too fast. Is there a rewind button? The closest I can find is home videos. Anyway, he is looking around and watching those around him and deciding for himself what is cool and what is not. I remember...wasn't it just yesterday?...when his sentences consisted of "Daddy is Buddy, Kerry is Homey and Wayne is Dudeman."
The little princess is growing up as well. I miss these words that she no longer says:
muse gick = music
scusty = disgusting
sug blug = slug bug
biz ahn ya = lasagna
alto meal = malto meal
pot tarps = pop tarts
nassy = nasty
and many more like when she called herself "Princess Kitty Cat Purple Pony Uh"
We were finally able to get her four year old pictures taken (now that she's almost 5) and she wanted her hair straightened (since that's how I'm wearing mine these days). She looks so grown up. I can hardly stand it. While changing out her seasonal clothes, I came across a box of things I'm keeping for her. I opened it...saw what was in there (baby things)...started crying...closed the box... took a deep breath....kept working in her closet....I think it's called... denial. Oh well, it's pleasant ... for the moment.
Pictures still to come.

I think "pot tarps" has to be my favorite yet!!!
I still remember when he said, "Mommy, when is Jennifer going to baby--I mean... KID-sit for me again?"
I can't wait to see pics!!
Love you and think of you often~
I can't wait to see the 4-year-old pictures of her. I think he will forever be 5 or 6 in my mind, but don't tell him that! I love you.
