Princess pics

Cute!

Missing her brother...she saved up LOTS of love for him...and tons of kisses. He was ever so patient with her. I can't thin of one argument they had the entire week. Amazing.
This ATM machine had a video playing on it. Every time we walked by my kids stopped and watched it. Crazy. Shows what kind of world we live in, huh?
My water baby. She looks so young in this pic! Check out the ears. LOL.
Learning pool on a Snooker table with a long cue stick. Funny. We have her a different set of rules to play by. She loved it and kept asking Grandpa to take her to play.
Mom and me after our massages. Relaxed.
Waiting her turn for a massage. Know any 9 year olds who get massages. Can you say SPOILED?
I think we each took our time to stand on the rocks and listen to the waves and just enjoy.
We've been here before and stayed in the exact same room. She knows her and way she's off!
THAT's a tourist...but the cutest one I've ever seen. She's wearing her dad's hat, using my purse, and carrying a bag of fish food...wait til you see all the fish!

"Prince"ly pics in random order

Playing pool at the Mexican food restaurant.
Patiently accepting love from his 'lil 'sis who is interrupting his game (notice the ipod in his hand. LOL.)
The winds were high the first few days and the temps not too hot, so getting out of the pool was a bit chilly. That's the Princess covered up, the King reading a book, and the Prince being silly, of course.
I looked up from beach side and saw him on the rocks looking all contemplative.
I quickly snapped the pic.
When he came back, I mentioned that I took his picture and he told me (the twirp!) that he knew I would so he was posing. LOL.
Driving Miss Dais...oops...driving Dad, who had an injured hand and couldn't grip the handle bars. Old and decrepit begins...now. JK, love.

Traveling into town, the Prince played games on his ipod (surprise) and the Princess was content to snuggle up and watch. *smile*
Where ever he was...she was...unless it was with the Grandparents.
Starbucks was the meeting place to take the shuttle from town back to the resort. After a hot day of shopping and going separate ways...I got a hug. The Prince doesn't hug halfheartedly. He climbs on! LOL.
He loved the motor bikes!
He hated the helmet.
But if wearing the helmet means he could drive the motorbike
...bring it on.
On the way to the resort...I held the camera over my head and snapped...lucky shot. His shirt says, "Your Losing Streak Begins Now." LOL. SOOOO him.
Self portrait with the required straight face.

Playing with the ipod...still.

A few beach pics...

Watching and taking pictures of kite surfers. Looks amazingly difficult, but tons of fun! The resort we stayed at is on this side of the road where mom is taking pictures. The beach begins with the rocks I'm standing on. So close and peaceful, even in the high winds that day.

Upon arrival, we unloaded and went to explore. We walked and talked on the beach and just let the stress of life melt away. The Prince is in the dark blue hugging his grandpa. He's as tall if not taller than his grandpa.

So happy together!

We had been riding motorbikes and stopped to cool by getting our feet wet.

Usually it's a small child with a camera intruding on our private moments. This time it was a large 60+ year old child. LOL. I guess it's payback for all the intruding I did when I was younger.

For your viewing pleasure...

Santa and Mrs. Claus

My parents came with a suitcase full of stuff for us. Things that cannot be safely sent in a care package.
This is my birthstone, aquamarine, set in rose gold and diamonds. Absolutely stunning even though the picture is not that good. I'll try to post a better one soon. I haven't taken it off, yet.
The King got an iPad and the fixin's. WOOHOO!
My dad tossed an ipod touch to the Prince and told him to give it to me because they brought him an ipod shuffle...which was a huge joke because what he really wanted was an ipod touch. so we both got one. This is his face when he realized the prank.
Look at that face! The Princess cleaned up with ALL KINDS of goodies. She asked "Santa" for a set of walkie talkies which she got and SO MUCH MORE. She didn't have room to carry it all back with her. LOL.

Cards and pics and other goodies from other family members, too.

We were completely humbled by the gifts, but were reminded that we haven't spent a holiday or birthday together in quite a while.
After about the umpteenth time of my confessing our thanks and telling my dad they shouldn't have...my dad said to me as part of a conversation, "Stop counting God's money."

Um. OK. I will.
Thanks for that reminder.
More to come...

Waiting...no longer

The collective trips to get to one meeting place caused some issues and lots of waiting. But we all ended up at the designated place and only my parents plane came in on time and even early. We waited what seemed like FOREVER for them to get through the security checks...but when they came...we ran!
Surprisingly...no tears!

I didn't know who to hug first...so I took them both!

We were all talking over each other and trying to get more hugs!

I was the only one with a handy camera...so this is the only angle you get.

Waiting on a taxi we needed a quick self portrait. This is foreshadowing...because I seemed to catch my dad in mid-blink all week. LOL. Notice the Prince's new haircut. He had just begun NOT wearing a hat.

2 years...3 months...and 14 days since our last face to face meeting.
Maybe you can imagine the JOY.
More to come.

The thing about vacation...

...is that when you get back you have a lot of catching up to do.

I want to post, but haven't had any luck. When my designated "blog time" comes around...the computer gods are conspiring against me and won't cooperate.

So...this is all I have for now. But there is more to come and if you are one of those people who are connected to my folks on face*book then you can see more...sooner.

Home sweet home.

There is something really wonderful about sleeping in your own bed no matter HOW WONDERFUL vacation was.

This is the first of MANY pictures to come. We took (collectively) about 600 pictures this week. Crazy. This was at the airport after all day traveling for everyone involved. A quick self-pic. So...if we look tired...we are...but not nearly as tired as we were happy to SEE each other FACE to FACE!
