Do you know this beauty?
If you don't...let me introduce you to the most precious college senior you'll ever meet. If my daughter grows up to be half the young lady this one is...well, I'll be blessed. Wait! This one is my daughter, too! I guess I never told you I adopted! Well, actually my youngest daughter chose this one before I did, but we don't give them back! Love you AJF!

Hurricane Ike has delayed our visas. Imagine that. The Consulate closed down. Well, I never... :) Seems all are recovering, praise the Lord.

God is good
My husband and I will be language and culture students in our new country, but our children will be classified as tourists. This country has a policy that every tourist must leave the country every 60 days to renew their visa. We knew going in that we'd be making trips every couple of months...oh well...that's the way it works. A friend of mine who has studied there before told me that we would only hear from the Visa center if there was a problem with the visa or paperwork. Well, I received a phone call...well actually, a message. I missed the call and the message was very generic. I did not want to be concerned over this. God is after all, sovereign. Well, when I reached the lady the next day she told me that when both parents are language students, this country makes an effort to help them by only requiring exit and reentry every 90 days. Well, that would be good news if I had applied for it. I hadn't and she had all the paperwork in her hand. Which in my mind meant starting all over again and paying another fee or staying with the 60 days. Forgive my pessimistic attitude, but every step in this process has required original copies of every birth certificate, marriage cert., etc. I just didn't see it happening. Then she said, "If you can fax me copies of their birth certificates today I can change it for you without delay or extra cost." WOOHOO!! A small victory, but a victory nonetheless!!!

Proud parents...
I wish I had a picture of the look on my son's face when he came inside last night... He has been feeling convicted that he never blatantly witnessed to a friend from school and was hoping for an opportunity to do it. Last night, Prince D called the young man and caught up on all the in's and out's of things since they're not in school together anymore. Eventually, the Prince asked him what he thought it took to go to heaven and have eternal life? And from there walked him through the four spiritual laws and asked him if he was ready to accept Christ. Yes! After praying together and talking for awhile longer, my son hung up the phone and was on cloud nine! We are going to help the young man get plugged in to be discipled!
Later last night, I heard my son in the shower singing, "Thank you Lord, I just want to thank you Lord..." Yes, thank you Lord. Not only for a new brother, but for a first convert...let it be the first of many.

Hmmm.
You know you've been traveling alot when your child befriends her suitcase. I caught her sitting in it with her MP3 Player rockin'out! I tried to catch her looking/peeking out...but she wouldn't cooperate. I did get her fingers. :)

Counting down...
About 5 1/2 weeks away from our big move!
