I feel your cyber pain.

Blessings in brothers

Growing up with four brothers was SUCH A CHORE! Not really. People used to say "I'm so sorry for you," when they heard that I'm the only girl with four brothers. I'd just laugh. Little did they know... I loved having brothers. They taught me so much. I decked a boy in 6th grade who wouldn't quit harrassing me walking home from the bust stop. He remembered it when we were juniors. How did I know how to make a fist without breaking my thumb off? Brothers. I didn't date specific boys that I wanted to date. Why? Brothers...protecting me against things and people I didn't know about. I chose to play baseball, be in drama, student council, be in the band etc. like my brothers. At my high school a legacy was left for me by my brothers. Our family name was well-known. I'm not deluding myself and they weren't/aren't saints because sometimes the legacy wasn't a positive one, but overall the people they were even at that age was a positive influence on me. I learned from their mistakes as best I could and tried to choose wisely in my life. One of my brothers told me he was praying for my future mate and hoped I would stay pure for him. I did. Thanks for the encouragement. You've blessed my life.

I have a younger brother and I worked to leave a positive legacy for him. I often wondered what it would be like to have sisters...but sisters in law (love) are close enough. My brothers are truly blessings. I miss the one who is in heaven and can't wait to see him again.

I am who I am today in large part because of them. Thanks guys...for everything. I love you.

The thing about great brothers is....they make AWESOME UNCLES!

All it takes is a kiss...

Bepaw's back must have hurt intensely when he went home from being wrapped so tightly around the Princess's finger! He loved it and so did she. She reminds us so much of our neice who is in Africa right now. If only she'll grow to love the Lord as much. The Prince is trying his best to look cool. After all he is only a month or so away from Middle School. Yikes! Where did the time go? We had a great time with grandparents over Spring Break.

Fuzz Therapy

Princess C and Hemi curled up on piles of pillows watching Veggietales. What you don't know is that the cat is purring so loud it can be heard in the next room. We call cuddling with a purring kitty "fuzz therapy". My older brother who's in heaven named it that. Can't cuddle with a kitty without thinking of him. He never knew the Princess, but he would have loved her and she would have wrapped him around her finger! He would have loved Hemi, too. We all do. Even the dog!

A Man, A Boy, and their toys

The last city we lived in, sported a cool clubhouse in the backyard of our home, built by father (mostly) and son (a little). When we moved...it stayed and made a little boy sad. A father promised to build another one. Well, three years later it's happening. However, the boy is older and has a little sister to share it with. The votes are in. Instead of a clubhouse a treehouse is desired. We have a great place for one and it's coming together nicely. Finished product pictures to come later. Oh and an extra bonus is that Grandpa is coming in town this week and wants to help. Can't wait for those pics!
