Love note

I stole this picture from Pandapalooza. I see it every time I check her blog and I always pause. Is it because I'm a hopeless romantic? I don't know. Maybe it's because of "My Beloved." I don't deserve to have captured the heart of the God of the universe, but I have. You have, too. He is the lover of my soul. Ever pursuing me. Ever patient. Always faithful. Loving me with an incomprehensible love. Grandiose and unfathomable. It's such a nice surprise when my husband decides to romance me, but my God does it daily, multiple times. Do I notice? Do you?

Blog surfing

Upon blog surfing, it occurred to me that my blog is relatively surface level. I am a deeper person than one might perceive based only on my blog. I intend to remedy that. I also intend to do some remodeling on my blog once school is out. We'll see. (The beginning and ending of the school year are so busy.) The Lord has richly blessed my life and I want it to be known moreso than it is. Hang in there.

Welcome to this world!

BA at 39 weeks. Waiting for KA
20-something hours, two epidurals and lots of work later. Here she is. We've prayed you here safely, little one. Welcome. Good job, Mom! I love you. Welcome to the club. Motherhood is the sweetest blessing and biggest challenge you will ever have. Can't wait to hold that precious girl and hug her mother. I miss you friend. Get some rest if you can.

Children's Choir Antics

I used to teach CC at our former church and begged out at this church because I am after all a teacher and I spend tons of time with kids. However, my husband needed me and I said yes...reluctantly. This year of CC is almost over and it has been crazy stressful. The last two Sundays we've taken our collective choirs to sing at local nursing homes. It has been a sweet blessing to all involved. My choir is 1st through 3rd grades. I have usually 5 or 6 boys and 11 or 12 girls. They are busy and love singing. This particular day we were rehearsing for our upcoming performances and I had only 2 boys present. One is such a charmer...and he knows it. He calls himself "a ladies man" ...who told him that? Anyway. The other boy is usually pretty rowdy, but has a great singing voice. We were singing and signing "How Great is Our God" by Chris Tomlin. Mr. Rowdy decided to sing at the TOP of his lungs and with full vibrato. Nothing could sway his worship! Mr. Charmer was becoming more and more annoyed by it and finally, while putting his hands on his hips announced to Mr. Rowdy, "Dude. You're singing Oprah!" I had to correct him with two things. 1. We do not criticize another's singing voice and 2. The word he was looking for was Opera. .........LOL. Makes me laugh every time I think about it.
